Meet Palak Patel, APRN

I am passionate about supporting people through times of change and helping them move from feelings of overwhelm and isolation toward a greater sense of balance, connection, and self-understanding. I see moments of transition, whether navigating a new chapter or processing emotional shifts, as opportunities for growth and healing. My role is to walk alongside my patients, offering empathy, guidance, and a safe place to explore what matters most to them. I believe the best care comes from working side by side with my patients, shaping our work around their values, preferences, and unique experiences. When it comes to medication, I see it as one of many tools we might consider. It is never a one-size-fits-all answer, and any decision to use it is made together with thoughtful discussion and shared understanding.

I have experience working with patients living with anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I completed my Master of Science in Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. Before joining Balance Mental Health, I worked in child psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, partnering with children, parents, and families to foster resilience and nurture emotional health. This experience deepened my understanding of how vital strong relationships, open communication, and nurturing environments are to supporting mental wellness throughout life.
